Having never previously engaged with an interior designer, my initial concern was giving up control of the entire project. (Our project included a gut remodel of our kitchen, dining room, 1st floor bathroom, family room and formal living room.) It was clear by our second consultation that those fears were totally over-blown. Corinne's process begins with an in-depth consultation that helped us to articulate our "style" and desires for our space. And she definitely listened! We are ecstatic with the results! We love our home; it feels like a completely different space. One of the key elements of Corinne's work that we felt set her apart was the presentation of the plan and on-going status updates. Our project took about 3 months from demolition to final furniture deliveries. Each week, Corinne provided status updates (in writing!) regarding construction, material deliveries, etc. with estimated deadlines. This type of on-going follow-up really made us feel confident that we were in good hands and that the project was being managed in detail. Secondly, we were grateful to have a project manager to be point person between the contractors and subcontractors. It can become very daunting to manage all the moving parts. Corinne provided the floor plans and was responsible for ensuring that each stage was being executed according to the plan. From our standpoint, it was very convenient to communicate to her especially when wanting to make modifications. Lastly, we truly enjoyed Corinne's personal decorating style. As I write this, I hear the irony. Oddly for us, the service was so important that it almost overshadowed the stylistic aspects. That said, Corinne has a great eye and brought some fun colors and interesting patterns that we wouldn't have thought of. Candidly, we'd probably have all beige walls and furniture if left to our own devices. Now we have a beautifully cohesive style that carries from one room
